Tim Schwer, who serves as Executive Vice President of Hunyady Auction
Company, has worn many different hats for the company. Now in his second
decade with Hunyady, he is one of the principal auctioneers, an appraiser,
and a salesman, while also managing the day-to-day sales activity of
the company. A former owner of a construction equipment painting and
reconditioning company, Tim’s experience with in-field refurbishments
of cranes, plants, and dirt equipment has given him insight into the
needs of those preparing for resale. His involvement in hundreds of
auctions and appraisals in such a variety of capacities has provided
him with a unique and substantial background in this fast-paced and
ever-growing industry.
Tim serves as President of the Equipment Appraisers Association of North America for the year 2003 and has been designated a Certified Senior Appraiser by the organization. He is also a member of the International Society of Appraisers. An alumnus of the Certified Auctioneers Institute at Indiana University, he won top honors in his graduating class for his case study on auctions. |
